About A.B.D.
Founded in 1979, A.B.D. TANK & PUMP began with four employees. Within the first three years we purchased an industrial building to better serve the needs of our clients which included Amoco, Texaco Super America and Thornton Oil. By 1985 A.B.D. TANK & PUMP had expanded to 22 employees and our customer base included Amoco, Mobil, Road Pilot, Thornton Oil, Marathon and various commercial accounts. As our sales volume continued to increase, a larger facility was required to accommodate our present workforce of 36 full-time employees.
In 1994, A.B.D. TANK & PUMP moved to our present location in centrally located Elmhurst. We own and operate an 18,700 SF building on 1.2 acres. The site consists of 4,000 SF of office space, 14,700 SF of warehouse and 2,800 SF of outdoor under-canopy storage space. In 1995 we became an Amoco alliance contractor, handling the underground tank and piping needs of more than 400 stations within the Chicagoland area.
In January 2000 we were awarded an exclusive alliance with BP as the sole contractor in the Mid-Continent Business Unit and are responsible for all tank and pipe upgrades, rebuilds, removals and new installations as well as database management.
A.B.D. TANK & PUMP handles all tank and pipe related work for Bell Fuels, Gas City, and Thornton Oil. We also perform work for Shell, Speedway and ExxonMobil. In addition to major oil work we are involved with design support and UST installation for many independent dealers and municipalities.
